News & Events

The services we supply are approximately 65% government funded. Without public support, fundraising events and grants we cannot continue to help women and children affected by violence change their lives.

Deck the Rooms for Refuge was a sell-out event again this year and we continue to receive feedback that it was thoroughly enjoyable. A huge thank you must go to the wonderful people who put forward their properties and to the very many who supported with everything from styling and florals, to ticket selling and sharing our event. We are thrilled to have been able to bring an uplifting festive event to the community and to have had your support to make this a successful fundraiser.

M.A.D for Refuge – Men’s Pop Up Pre-loved Clothing Shop
For the first time Taranaki Women’s Refuge offers a pre-loved, quality MEN’S clothing, shoes and accessories sale. Shop with us this February for great bargains on quality MENSWEAR and stand with us for change in Domestic Violence in Taranaki.
If your wardrobe is ready for a refresh, or ‘that designer item you thought you’d wear but never have’ needs to move on, we would love to help find it a new home.
Donations gratefully received until the end of January at Kingsway Menswear, Martins Fashions Moturoa, Health 2000, Joe’s Garage or Taranaki Women’s Refuge office in the Kings Building.
The shop will be open on the 7th, 8th and 9th of February 2020 from 9am-5pm. Location to be announced!
