Taranaki Women’s Refuge Pop Up Shop
The Taranaki Women’s Refuge Pop Up Shop is a highly anticipated annual fundraising event that helps raise vital funds to support women and children affected by domestic violence in our community.
Every year, the community comes together to donate pre-loved clothing and accessories, all in excellent condition, to be sold through the Pop Up Shop, with 100% of the proceeds going directly to the Taranaki Women’s Refuge.
The Pop Up Shop is brought to life by a passionate volunteer committee who dedicate countless hours to make this event a success. From organising donations to styling the shop, every detail is thoughtfully planned to create an inviting space that shoppers love to return to year after year.

We gratefully accept donations of good-quality men’s and women’s clothing, shoes, handbags, jewellery, and accessories throughout the year, with final donations accepted by the end of September. These items are carefully sorted and beautifully displayed in our curated pop-up retail space.
VIP Night
To launch the event, we host a VIP Night—a ticketed evening that offers supporters a first look at the shop and the chance to purchase the best pieces before the doors open to the public. It’s a fun, festive occasion with drinks, music, and a strong sense of community.
Following the VIP event, the shop remains open to the public for two weeks. It’s an incredible opportunity to pick up high-quality fashion at affordable prices while making a meaningful difference in the lives of local families.
